Training

CiNI designs and delivers a comprehensive range of training which promotes child centred practice and supports families. Our training aims to provide workers with the knowledge and skills they need to deliver quality services and promote positive outcomes for children and their families.

Child Policy Information Service

This is an online service where members can access all the latest policy developments relating to children and young people. As part of this service, members receive a fortnightly E-Brief of the latest child policy news direct to their mailbox as well as weekly Assembly alerts.

Policy Service

This service supports members to use their knowledge and expertise to inform and influence public policy development drawing on the rights and needs of children and young people. This influences Briefings/Position Papers, Discussion Forums with Policy Makers and Consultation Workshops.

Working in Partnership

CiNI works in partnership with a range of bodies to influence and inform change for children and young people on key issues and in key fora. This includes six specific initiatives: All Party Group on Children and Young People, Children are Unbeatable! Alliance, Joint Government Voluntary and Community Forum, Children with Disabilities Strategic Alliance and the Early Years Strategic Alliance.

Participation Network

The Participation Network supports the Public Sector to engage effectively with children and young people in the development and review of policy and services that impact on their lives.  We provide training, consultancy support, a signposting service and resources to central and local government.
