- Preparation for Participation : Lisburn YMCA [NI]
The Preparation for Participation programme (PFP) is an accredited training course that is specifically designed to equip young people with the skills they need to take control of their own projects.
- Public Achievement [NI]
Public Achievement believes that young people have an enormous amount to contribute toward the building of a more just, peaceful and democratic society. They also recognise that there are many adults who want to work co-creately with young people to make this happen. The core of our work is supporting small groups of young people - and adult volunteer ‘coaches’ who work with them - in addressing issues that are important and around which they design, carry out and evaluate their own projects.
- RD4U and Youth Involvement Project– Cruse Bereavement Care
RD4U is a website designed for young people by young people. It is part of Cruse Bereavement Care’s Youth Involvement Project and is here to support people after the death of someone close.
- Replay Productions[NI]
A professional theatre company producing work for children and young people and related activities.
- RESPECT [NI]
Wheelworks, an arts organisation funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, launched a unique exhibition called RESPECT at Belfast City Hall recently. The exhibition showcases the creativity of young people in Belfast who took on the task of challenging stereotypes about youth culture. RESPECT runs from Tuesday Jan 31 st to February 28 th as part of Belfast City Council’s year of Art and Culture. [PROJECT COMPLETED]
- Safer School Travel Partnership, Ballymena [NI]
This project, aimed at minimizing problems with bullying and other forms of anti-social behaviour on the bus journey to and from school, was established in Ballymena in September 2004. The project involves innovative measures brought about through a working partnership made up of PSNI, local schools, Translink, Dept of Education and Northern Eastern Education and Library Board and is coordinated by Ballymena Community Safety Partnership.
- Seen and Heard Project [NI]
The Seen and Heard Project focuses on children and young people who face extra challenges in being heard, such as young people with a disability or children from the Travelling community.
- Shaping the Changes – VOYPIC [NI]
Shaping the Changes develops participative practice models that ensure care experienced children and young people inform and shape legislation, policy and practice which impacts on their lives.
- Sibling Workshops: Autism NI (PAPA) [NI]
Autism NI’s Sibling Workshops are designed to support children who have a brother or sister with Autism. The Workshops help siblings understand their brother or sister’s Autism and create a forum where they are able to express their feelings in a safe environment, whilst learning coping strategies.
- Social and Life Skills Project: Autism NI (PAPA) [NI]
With funding from BBC Children in Need, Autism NI is delivering Social and Life Skills training to children and young people with Autism across Northern Ireland. The project will help children on the Autistic Spectrum to manage the social challenges they encounter and to help them deal with day-to-day life issues.
