How are the Children and Young People involved?
This is a trust led project. The project is or children/ young people aged between 8 -18 years and provides the opportunity to:
• Meet other young carers
• Be listened to and respected
• Take part in group activities
• Access information and other people who can offer support
The children and young people that participate are involved via focus group discussions as to the type of activities that are on offer.
Currently the group meets on a monthly basis for social outings. However would be interested in developing the work that we do so that the young people involved can have more of a voice on specific issues e.g. Carers Assessments.

What did or what has the project/initiative achieved in terms of positive change for the organisation or/and the children and young people?
Offers the children and young people an opportunity to share feelings and experiences. It gives them away from their caring role and an opportunity to be a child
