How are the Children and Young People involved?
Asthma UK holds a Youth Forum in London. Asthma UK Northern Ireland are hoping to set of a Youth Forum in the future to facilitate local children and young people who are unable to attend to forum in London.
This Alert to Asthma programme is a two hour asthma awareness project attended by people working with children especially in the early years. This includes private daycare, childminders, healthcare professionals, nursery and school staff etc. This being the case children are not involved but benefit indirectly.
Kick Asthma Holidays are held once per year usually at Corrymeela and involves physical activity, fun, interaction as well as learning how to control their asthma. There is an interactive Kick Asthma website aimed at young people.
