How are the Children and Young People involved?
First Light is the UK Film Council’s young filmmaker’s initiative. We are a lottery funder and enable young people aged between five to 18 years to make short digital films.
First Light was set up to fund and inspire the making of short films, reflecting the diversity of young people’s lives.
We are looking for proposals that present a creative approach to filmmaking in collaboration with young people. There are many issues that are relevant to young people such as drugs, alcohol, pregnancy, bullying, identity and asylum.
