Healthy Minds Project - NDCS[NI]

Specific Interest Group: Children and young people who are deaf
Age: 8-14

How are Children and Young People Involved?
The Healthy Minds Project will develop an intervention programme promoting positive mental health by producing materials in self confidence, problem solving skills, peer relationship and defining emotions.

The resource packs will be used in schools to enhance the already established educational curriculum for deaf children. we are currently working with deaf children across Northern Ireland through the focus groups, residential weekends and in schools.Through these sessions, young deaf people are bringing together examples of good practice and practical advice and tips on how to overcome difficulties they may experience in the school, family and social settings.
