This resource introduces young people to the role of voluntary management committees. A tutor’s manual, it equips trainers to facilitate a course for young people in how groups in the voluntary and community sector are formed and run. Targeted at 16-25 year olds, the six interactive, 2-hour sessions have been designed to give young people an insight into the role of management committees. The tutor manual contains clear session outlines, tutor notes, guidance on running each activity and handouts for participants. The Jump on Board! tutor manual has been developed by the Volunteer Development Agency in consultation with Down District Volunteer Bureau. The resource is an initiative of Down District Volunteer Bureau and is jointly funded by Millennium Volunteers and Comic Relief.
