Age Group:15-21 but also has active adult members from both school and youth group backgrounds.
Specific Interest Group:Young people aged 15 to 21 resident in the Kilkeel and surrounding costal area. They may come to the forum, either as a representative of alocal youth group or 2nd level school, althought the organisation also welcomes young people who are not active within any local group but are keen to be involved as an individual member.
How are Children and Young People Involved?
This is a forum for young people who have active support from the Local Senior Youth Work as well as facilitation from teaching staff and youth workers in the area. The group are currently carrying out a research project to establish the needs and interests of the local youth community as a way of establishing an agenda for future action.
We hope to recruit on this agenda and have a Committee of young people established by September to take the agenda into action.
