School age i.e. Primary 7 (transition year);
Forms 1, 2 and older.
Specific Interest Group/s:
Marginalised, disaffected and/or excluded young people (of school age) – outside mainstream educational provision;
Parents - of referred young people and from the local Community - including young Mums;
Outreach, detached older young people disengaged from existing youth provision;
In-School support programmes – addressing issues of relevance.
How are Children & Young People Involved?
Via ‘Contract’ input during induction at start of school year and the various programmes;
Via Youth Forum (within Newstart and to be extended to include other AEPs i.e. Alternative Education Projects across Belfast);
Via In-House representative systems;
Via In-House Participants’ Fora re’ input re’ suggestions on programmes etc;
Via Evaluations – both Individual and Group;
Via Key Worker Meetings (monthly);
Via Suggestions and Complaints Procedures.
