How are the Children and Young People involved?
Young people decide on their own level of participation by deciding their own action plan for the year and carrying out projects.
Recent projects:
-Politician’s Night on November 29th. This was an opportunity to discuss issues with local councillors.
-It is hoped to run a Bands Nite in February at The Station Centre to showcase some local talent and to raise a bit of cash!
-An accredited ‘Participation Skills course is also in line to happen before the summer.
-Members are also available for consultation and involvement in groups and organisations eg. WELB Stakeholder Group. Local Community groups, WELB Youth Forum etc.
-4th annual schools art competition just completed for Christmas 2006
-There was representation (3) at the recent cross-border participation conference in Letterkenny in early December.
-Things happen if members get involved and the agenda is set by them.
