Age Group: The committee is made up of adults. Young people at the conferences are Year 11 ie 14-15 year olds. We will be looking at involving young people in the committee in the future

How are the Children and Young People involved?
The young people have been involved in a number of one day conferences to promote awareness of bullying and have helped to draft anti-bullying action plans for their respective schools.

  • What did or what has the project/initiative achieved in terms of positive change for the organisation or/and the children and young people?
    It has introduced a new level of partnership working between schools, Translink, PSNI, North Eastern Education and Library Board, Department of Education and has had a positive impact in terms of reducing the potential for bullying on the buses, at bus stops and at the station.
