How are the Children and Young People involved?
Children and Young People’s involvement in The Cedar Foundation Children and Young People’s Services is intrinsic to the planning of services.  Youth Action Team’s drive the development of activities and projects including social events, project work, residential’s and collaboration with other groups and agencies.  Young People are also represented on The Cedar Foundation’s User Forum.

Do you use a specific model/guide/theme?
No – A range of activities E.G. Youth Action Teams drive Youth Matters Services activities and projects and Youth Officers engage young people in consultation for external agencies, established groups are ongoing on specific projects etc.

What did or what has the project/initiative achieved in terms of positive change for the organisation or/and the children and young people?
The Cedar Foundation Children and Young People’s Services are closer to developing a culture of participation.  Development of services and existing activities and projects under Youth Matters Services are driven by both young people and parents. Young People are empowered, recognised as experts who have a voice and the opportunity to make changes to existing services and inform new services.
