How are Children and Young People Involved?
Young People involvement in our programme include the youth reference group which is made up of members of the youth programme. They help recommend activities and training and give us the insight on what the young people want form Inside Out.
About Inside Out
The Inside Out Group are a pioneering, pro active group which seeks to redress the legacy of youth misrepresentation in Claudy. They played a key role in Claudy’s first ever Youth Audit and have effectively been acting as Claudy’s Youth Council for the past year. They have clearly demonstrated active citizenship, community cohesion and ownership. In addition to their voluntary endeavours, the Inside Out Group have attained various qualifications in a range of key areas including Community Relations, First Aid and Child Protection. More importantly they recognise their role as futures leaders in the Claudy Area and have embraced the task of personal and civic development.
Indeed, they have now set up a small social enterprise which offers other Youth/Community Groups with an opportunity to avail of their innovative Youth Text Service.
