Age Group: The age range is normally pre-school children but on occasions older children have been involved
Specific Interest Group: We have worked with all children from the travelling community, special needs, asylum seekers etc. We have also consulted with the parents and practitioners.
How are the Children and Young People involved?
Pre-school children have been involved at policy and practice level :-
Isobel McClean has taken the lead in the organisation in consulting with young children in community pre-school settings and has drawn up questions and appropriate methods to use in consulting with young children

Throughout Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and at an International level
Do you use a specific model/guide/theme?
Yes, our work has been influenced by the Mosiac approach from the NCB also that of Reggio Emilia.
Other Information
A 12 hour training course on Consulting with Children has been produced, we are trying to ensure that all of our staff within NIPPA who support early years groups are trained before taking this work forward.
What did or what has the project/initiative achieved in terms of positive change for the organisation or/and the children and young people?
We have achieved a great deal within our organisation. The training will be delivered to Teachers, Early Years Practitioners, Law Courts, Health Agencies, Social Workers, and Trusts etc and has been delivered in the Republic of Ireland, the North, Albania,Moldova,Belarus and Colombia on the voice of the child.
