Youthnet [NI]
YouthNet is a strategic network of Voluntary Youth Organisations. It exists to advocate with and on behalf of its membership, to represent, support and develop their interests and aspirations and to promote the independent voice of the voluntary youth sector.
YouthNet is committed to:
• The emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, social and political development of young people.
• The development of confident and skilled young people who are able to make informed, critical decisions and exercise their rights as citizens by contributing to and benefiting from a more participatory democracy.
• The principles of equity, diversity and interdependence
• The promotion of a peaceful, just and stable society.
• The principle and practice of developing relevant partnerships and working collaboratively.
• Being responsive and accountable to its membership.
• Recognising, valuing and promoting volunteers and volunteering.
• The promotion and dissemination of learning, best practice and quality standards.
• Open and transparent processes.
